Review: Easy Music CD Burner is a quick software application designed to provide a fast way for burning audio CDs, boasting support for the most popular formats on the market. The market is already full of burning solutions that promise to do the same thing with minimum configuration options, but Easy Music CD Burner claims it is different because it creates no temporary files on the local disks. The interface is indeed well-organized and easy to use, relying on a multi-panel layout that enables you to browse to any location and simply drag files on the new disc. There are no hidden configuration screens, so all settings are grouped right in the main window, which is indeed a great feature for those who don want to waste too much time setting up the program. Easy Music CD Burner supports MP3, OGG, WMA and WAV audio files, while also being able to work with the majority of CD writers. The application works very smooth on Windows XP and Vista, but weve noticed some compatibility issues with Windows 7 during our testing. Although it provides a help file as well, the program crashes every time you click on help on Windows 7 and theres no workaround for this issue. Other than that, it needs just a moderate amount of hardware resources to do its job, so it doesn hamper system performance on newer machines. Which means that yes, Easy Music CD Burner is a handy tool, but it still needs a bunch of improvements to meet todays expectations. It does what it says though without slowing down the computer. |
