Review: Quick CD / DVD Burner is yet another CD/DVD burning solution able to create data discs and ISO image files. The application doesn?t boast the most attractive interface in this particular software category, but it isn?t even supposed to, trying to remain user friendly and thus allow users take the most out of its features. The main window of the program presents the main tools, so you can burn a CD or a DVD, clone one, build or burn an ISO, schedule a project, access options or erase a disc. Drag and drop is obviously supported, so in case you wish to create a new data disc, picking the files to be included in the project is as easy as pie. The common features are of course available, which means that Quick CD / DVD Burner allows you to burn bootable discs, create multisession projects or save a session for later burning. With multiple skins offered to its users, Quick CD / DVD Burner remains a straightforward application, although it?s pretty clear that further improvements could be made when it comes to its interface. The application doesn?t affect system performance at all, while the burning engine seems to be stable and fast, without slowing down the computer at all. Overall, Quick CD / DVD Burner is another piece of software that?s supposed to burn data discs, but it?s a shame that it lacks dedicated features to create audio CDs. And with a few improvements to its interface, it could easily become one of the top products in this software segment. |
