Even if its designed as a wizard, it all comes down to three simple steps. First of all, you e asked to choose the task to perform, which can be either locking or unlocking folders. Then, you need to select the folder to protect, while afterward you e prompted to define the password. And thats it, fast and easy, thanks to a process that takes less than a minute. Unfortunately however, its not all milk and honey. Supposing youve locked a folder with a password, every attempt to access the folders content launches the application. Once you provide the password, the folder is automatically unlocked, so you need to re-apply the protection manually every time. Plus, Folder Password Protect provides no password reset features, which means that in the unfortunate event of a forgotten password, you can really do much about it. The good thing is that Folder Password Protect works on low resources and seems to do its magic regardless of the Windows iteration thats installed on the local computer. On the downside however, no password reset option and no settings saving tool. Overall, Folder Password Protect does what it promises, but it still needs some improvements in key areas.
